William "Sam" Samuel Green, Jr.

William Samuel Green, Jr. affectionately known as "Sam" was a lifelong resident of Shelby County and graduate of Calera High School Class of 1996.  Employee of Wal-Mart Calera for over fifteen years and currently employee of Alabama Therapeutic Educational  Facility in Columbiana, Alabama.  He has been a volunteer Fireman with the Calera Fire Department for over seventeen years and truly loved his brothers at the fire station.  Service of memory will be Saturday 12 noon at New Mount Moriah Baptist Church Calera Pastor Michael Jones and Pastor Douglas Walker will officiate with interment in Shelby Memory Gardens Calera.  His loving survivors are: two devoted cousins reared with Sam as brothers; Gary (Pamela) Griffith and Darryl (Candice) Griffith, aunts, uncles, other relatives, countless friends and his Beloved Calera Fire Department Family.  His remains will lie in repose on Friday from 1:00  until 6:00 PM at the Westside Funeral Home Calera.
