Lady Vanessa Nadine Davis Adams was born on November 30, 1958 in Dayton Ohio, to the late Johnny Ray and Bertha Davis Gaddis. She was educated in the Shelby County School System and graduated from Thompson High School. Vanessa received her business degree from Faulkner University. She had a servant's heart and served in many areas such as; adult choir, mass choir, youth department, couples ministry, as a deaconess and as a teacher. Her loving survivors are: devoted husband; John Wesley Adams; three children; Shavon (Wright) Gover, Alexandria (Alfredo) McCarter, and Michael Adams; five grandchildren; her beloved mother, Bertha Davis Gaddis; sister, Sandra Cohill; an uncle, aunts, and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.
