Mrs. Ruby Mae Stewart Dukes, age 98, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017. She was a lifelong resident of Shelby County, a faithful member of Epsibeth Baptist Church, and retired from the University of Montevallo. Service of Memory will be Monday, December 18th at Noon at Epsibeth Baptist Church (101 Epsibeth Road, Montevallo, Alabama 35115), Pastor Lorenzo Mitchell officiating with interment in Montevallo Cemetery. Her remains will lie in repose on Sunday from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the Westside Funeral Home Calera. Her loving survivors are: two sons, Clarence Dukes (Marcella) and Larry Dukes (Phyllis); three daughters, Evelyn Scott, Ruby Shaw and Lottie Pope; two sisters, Gladys Stern and Alberta Hall (James); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
