Reverend Rogers Shack

Pastor Shack was a native of Dallas County Alabama, but moved to Shelby County Alabama at an early age and was educated in the Shelby County School System.  Upon graduation from High School he continued his education upon receiving his calling into the Ministry.  He served as Pastor of First Baptist Church Calera, Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Leeds, Interim Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church Montevallo and currently was Pastor of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church Montevallo.  He was married to the "Love of His Life" the former Joyce Jean Conwell in October 1973 and they became the proud parents of Ricorado and Leslie.  Service of Memory will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at New Mount Moriah Baptist Church Calera with Pastor Mike Jones officiating and interment in Montevallo Cemetery.  His loving survivors are: Devoted Wife; Joyce Jean Shack, Children; Ricorado (Chantlyn) and Leslie Shack, Sisters; Bobbie Nell (George) Nix and Wilhelmenia (Charles) Shamburger, three grandchildren; Diamond, Dorian and Christian and one great grandchild; Justice.  His remains will lie in repose on Friday from noon until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.  Westside Funeral Home Calera Directing.
