Reverend Michael DeVaughn Moore was born on April 28, 1957 in Birmingham, Alabama to Mr. and Mrs. Willie Mack and Gussie Harper Moore. He was a graduate of Jackson Olin High School and continued his education at Alabama State University. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired Postal Worker. He was the former Pastor of Saint John Baptist Church Dora, Alabama. Funeral Service will be Friday (4th) 10:00 AM at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church (2135 Jefferson Avenue S.W. 35211) Pastor Michael Wesley, Sr. officiating with interment in Alabama National Cemetery. His loving survivors are: devoted wife of 45 years; Dottie Elaine Stone Moore, daughter; Ebony Michelle Moore, granddaughter; Nova Marie Lofton, brothers and sisters; Charles (Bessie), Ortez (Gladys) Wayne (Cynthia), Peggy and Christine (Victor), nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in repose on Thursday (3rd) from 1:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 PM. Westside Funeral Home Fairfield Directing.
