Paul was born on February 24, 1949 to the parentage of Paul and Nora Hardnett King, Sr. in Calera Alabama. He was educated in the Shelby County Public School System and upon leaving school joined the U. S. Army where he served his country honorable until his discharge. After returning home to Calera, he began working at Glidewell Specialty Foundry until retiring after more than 35 years of service. He was married to the former Beverly Ann Pearson for more than 51 years, and to this union four children were born. Funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 AM at New Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church Calera (5798 US Hwy 31 35040) Pastor Michael Jones will officiate with interment in Alabama National Cemetery Montevallo. His loving survivors are: devoted wife; Beverly Ann King, his children; Twalia (Richard) King, LaSonia (Stephen) Seay, Paul ( Demisha) King, III and Patrick King, brothers and sisters; William (Brenda) King, Ben King, Johnny King, Clifford King, Raymond (Brenda) King, Pauline Jones, Alberta Jones, Diane King and Nora Lynn (Gary) Davis, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in repose on Thursday from 1:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Westside Funeral Home Calera Directing.
