Parker Upchurch Fluker was born on April 9,1936 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Mr. Ben Hart and the late Willie Mae Fluker. He was educated in the Birmingham City Public School System. During his career he worked as an Iron Bander for Jones & Armstrong Steel Company and later S.M.I. Steel Corporation. Parker attended and served faithfully in local ministries as a Deacon. He used his gift of song to Glorify God and edify the body of Christ. He sang all over the city of Birmingham with the gospel quartet: The Spiritual Propheteers and could also be found singing in male choruses and senior choirs. His loving survivors are: devoted children; Stephen and Katrina Fluker; six grandchildren; two sisters; Mary Echols and Pearl Williams; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
