Nathaniel Ladell "Lil Nate" Young, Jr.

Nathaniel Ladell Young was born on November 1, 2001 in Birmingham, Alabama to Nathaniel Ladell Young, Sr. and Latonya Renae Tartt Young. He was educated in the Jefferson County School System and graduated from Gardendale High School. Nathaniel’s passion for football would lead him to Alabama State where he played linebacker for the Hornets. Nathaniel’s vibrant personality and infectious laughter had a unique way of brightening any room. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, 2:00 PM at Metropolitan AME Zion Church (1530 - 4th Avenue North 35203) with Pastor Erskine Faush, Jr., Officiating. His loving survivors are: parents, Nathaniel Young, Sr. and Latonya Young; sister, Mikayla Young; grandmother, Mildred Tartt; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
