Minnie Julia (Davis) Payne

Minnie Julia Davis Payne was born on March 26, 1939 in Birmingham, Alabama to Mr. and Mrs. Charlie and Mary Accoff Davis, Sr.  At an early age Minnie exhibited an creative eye for fashion and interior design.  Her passion motivated her to pursue and have a long illustrious career in Cosmetology.  Asa young lady,  Minnie was one of the first owner-operator of a beauty salon known as "Cosmotique"  located in Birmingham, Alabama.  She was united in marriage to the late Cretis Payne, and to this union four sons were born.  Funeral Service will be Friday(20th)  11:00 AM Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church  Fairfield (143 Seminole Circle  35064)  Pastor David W. Craig officiating with interment in Patterson Forest Grove Cemetery.  Her loving survivors are: devoted sons; Byron (Dale) Payne, Darye Payne, Jeffery Payne and Quinton Payne, brothers and sisters; Charlie (Loretta) Davis, Jr., Roland (Jeannie) Davis, Betsy Wright and Jessie "Coolie" Sheard, five grandchildren and one great grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Her remains will lie in repose on Thursday from 1:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.  Westside Funeral Home Fairfield Directing.
