Minister Dereck Keith Stewart

Minister Dereck Keith Stewart was born on December 10, 1961 to Jamew E. Miller and Earlene Stewart in Montevallo, Alabama.  He was educated in the Shelby County Public School System graduating from Montevallo High School.  After high school, Dereck enlisted in the United States Marines where he served for six years.  Funeral Services will be Saturday (4th) Southminster Presbyterian Church (1124 Montgomery Highway Vestavia Hills 35216) Pastor Tom Bryson officiating with interment in Montevallo Cemetery.  His loving survivors are: devoted and loving sisters; Anitka (Jerome) Sims and Joyce "Patty" Harris, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  His remains will lie in repose on Friday (3rd) from 3:00 until 6:00 PM  at the funeral home.  Westside Funeral Home Fairfield Directing.
