Mr. Battle was a native of Wadley, Alabama and longtime resident of Shelby County. He was retired from the Shelby County Sheriff's Office. Service of Memory will be Thursday, (November 14, 2019) at 12 noon at Union Baptist Church (1910 Highway 47, Columbiana, AL 35051). Pastor Skylar Patterson will officiate with burial in Wallace Campbell Cemetery. His loving survivors are: devoted daughter; Magan Battle, step children; William Brown and Barette Brown, brother and sisters; Willie Battle, Isabell Brown and Elsie Carter; grandson; Kody Jones; and a host of other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in repose on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at the church. Westside Funeral Home Calera Directing.
