Mary Jo was born in Jasper, Alabama on August 12, 1948 to the proud parentage of Charles Edward (Iola Banks) Jackson. She was educated in the Walker County School System and worked for the Walker County Board Of Education for many years as a nutritionist. Funeral Service will be saturday (22nd) at noon at Westside Funeral Chapel Fairfield with Pastor George Hayden officiating and interment in George Washington Carver Memorial Gardens. Her loving survivors are: devoted daughters; Sadearia "fat" (James, Sr.) Armstrong, LaShanda Jackson, De'Oshia Jackson Long and Benisha Jackson Long, her siblings; Anthony Jackson, Sandra James, Phyllis Jackson and Eugenia Hill, five grandchildren and one great grandchild, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in repose on Friday from noon until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Westside Funeral Home Fairfield Directing.
