Mrs. Lula Ladd Brown was born on April 10, 1932 in Selma, Alabama to the parentage of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd and Ruth Ann Evans Ladd, Sr. She was educated in the Dallas County Public School System and worked for many years as a Substitute Teacher in the Dallas County School System. Upon moving to Birmingham, Alabama, she became a faithful and dedicated member of Thirgood Memorial CME Church (517 Center Street North 35204) where she served faithfully in the Missionary, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School Ministries. A Celebration of her life will be Thursday (18th) 11:00 AM at her beloved Thirgood Memorial CME with Pastor George P. Hill, Jr. officiating and Interment in Valhalla Cemetery. Her loving survivors are: devoted children; Catherine Young, Doris Jean Ladd, Christine (Tony) Watson, Leonard (Bridget) Brown and William (Jennifer) Brown, her brother; Lloyd Ladd, Jr., seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in repose on Wednesday (17th) from 3 until 6 PM at the funeral home.
