Mrs. Foster was a native of Cuba, Alabama and long-time resident of Birmingham. She worked as a cook at Old Plantation Bar-B-Que for 35 years, and was a faithful member of Six Street Peace Baptist Church for many years until her health began to fail. She leaves to cherish her memory three loving and devoted daughters: Julene R. DeLaine, Shirley (Willie) Flowers and Janice Foster; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews many other relatives and friends.
Service of memory will be held Monday, March 11, 2019 at 12 noon at South Elyton Baptist Church (100 - 1st Street, South 35205) with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Mrs. Foster will lie in repose on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 PM at Westside Funeral Home Fairfield.
