Joyce Williams Maddox

Joyce Williams Maddox was a lifelong resident of Shelby County, and a former employee of Shelby County Board of Education as a school teacher. Service of memory will be held Saturday, November 11th at 12:00 noon at the First Baptist Church of Columbiana (208 North Main Street, Columbiana, AL 35051). Interment will be in Pine Lawn Memorial Gardens.  Her loving survivors are: devoted husband, Leon Lee Maddox; two sons, Leon G. Maddox (JoAnna), of Melbourne, FL and Cedric L. Maddox (Carolyn) of Centerpoint, AL; one daughter, Sabrina D. Maddox of Calera, AL; five grandchildren, Kelsey, Kyra, Paris, Eliza and Nate; one great-grandson, Javian; seven sisters, Ollie Mitchell, Marva Williams and Lois Williams all of Columbiana, AL, Lynn Williams of Calera, AL, Ellen Trimble of Sacramento, CA, Bettye Clanton (Jimmy) of Providence, RI, and Elizabeth Conway (Leroy) of Odenton, MD; two brothers, Wales Williams, Sr. (Brenda) of Columbiana, AL and Kenneth Williams (Bonnie) of Calera, AL; four sisters –in-law; four brothers-in-law;  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. Her remains will lie in repose on Friday, November 10th from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  Westside Funeral Home Calera, directing.
