Joe Louis Steele

Joe Louis Steele the son of William Billingslea and Dollie Mae Steele  was born on July 2, 1936 in Gordo, Alabama.  He was educated in the Birmingham Public School System, graduating from Ullman High School.  He served his country with honor in the United States  Army as a member of the Airborne Division.  Funeral Service will be Saturday (24th)  11"00 AM  Westside Funeral Chapel Fairfield with Pastor Joshua Johnson officiating and interment in Elmwood Cemetery.  His loving survivors are: devoted children; Daryl Ebb, Joseph Steele, Stacey (Clinton) Goodman, Pamela (Donald) Bettis, Peggy (Willie) Scott, Cassandra Steele, Yolanda (Larry) Hatcher, Vonda Glenn,  and LaKita Steele, sisters; Doris Daniels and Frances (Lorenza) Robinson, nineteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  His remains will lie in repose on Friday from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.  Westside Funeral Home Fairfield Directing.
