Janet was born in Birmingham, Alabama on October 22, 1953 to Charlie and Mary Davis Smith, Sr. She was educated in the Birmingham Public School System and was a long time employee of AT & T Phone Company for many years. Her loving survivors are: devoted husband; Willie Pace, Sr., her sons; Willie Pace, Jr. and Lellwyn Pace, brothers and sister; Charlie Smith, Jr., Roderick Smith, and Mamie Ruffin, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
