James Edward affectionately known as "Runt" was born in Tipton County, Tennessee to Mr. and Mrs. Edison and Mattie Pearl Foster Hughlett on October 21, 1947. After graduating from High School in 1965, he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he met the "love of his life" the former Burnestine Tucker whom he married on April 1, 1967 and to this union seven children were born. After raising his family and working in Milwaukee,he and Burnestine "Bonnie" decided to relocate and in 2014 they moved to McCalla, Alabama and joined Emmanuel Temple COGIC (433 - 1st Street North 35204) and became a faithful member. Visitation will be Thursday (27th) at his beloved Emmanuel Temple from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM and Visitation will be Saturday (29th) from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Mount Tipton C.M.E. Church in Brighton, Tennessee (3044 Brighton Clopton Road 38011) with Committal and Interment at 11:00 AM in Mount Tipton Cemetery with his brother Elder Walter Hughlett Officiating. His loving survivors are: devoted wife of fifty three years; Burnestine "Bonnie" Tucker Hughlett, children; James Jr., Kendale, Lendale, Dalton, Torrie (Kesha), Beverly and LaTosha (Juan), siblings; James (Terrie), Robert (Kathy), Walter (Mary), A T (Diane), Roy and Katie, twenty four grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends, special God Son; Bell (Rita) and special friends; Percy and Brenda.
