Freddie Lois Brantley was born on September 23, 1941 in Montevallo, Alabama to the proud parentage of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Acie and Lois Green Brantley, Sr. She was educated in the Shelby County Public School System graduating from Prentice High School Class of 1959. She continued her education at Alabama A & M University obtaining her Bachelor and Masters Degrees. She was a teacher in the Shelby County Public School System for many years before moving to Detroit, Michigan and teaching in the Detroit Public School System until retiring. She was a faithful member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Montevallo. Graveside Service will be Saturday (27th) 11:00 AM Montevallo Cemetery with Pastor John Adams officiating. Her loving survivors are her siblings; Willie (Martha) Brantley, Jr., Annie Jean Smith, Eddie Pearl Robinson, Betty (Jerome) Edwards, Barbara Henderson, Evelyn Mitchell, Carmen (Tony) Hale and Sandra (Leonard) Cammack, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in repose on Friday (26th) from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Westside Funeral Home Calera Directing.
