Emma Lee Bennett Ward was born on September 7, 1930 in Wilcox County, Alabama to the union of Callie Bennett and George Moore. At an early age, Emma and her family moved to Birmingham, Alabama where she was educated and graduated from A. H. Parker High School. She was a faithful member of Macedonia 17th Street Baptist Church Birmingham, Alabama and was retired from Birmingham Housing Authority. Funeral Service will be Friday (29th) 1:00 PM Westside Funeral Chapel Fairfield with her Pastor Thomas Hunter officiating and interment in Zion Memorial Gardens. Her loving survivors are: devoted children; Dexter (June), Jessie, Jr., Carolyn, Sandra, Robbie, Michele and Patricia (Duane), eighteen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in repose on Thursday (28th) from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Westside Funeral Home Fairfield Directing.
