Edward Maddox affectionately known as "Skip" was a lifelong resident of Shelby County and a faithful member of Spirit and Truth Ministry under the leadership of Elder Mack Harris. Graveside Services will be Friday at noon at Shelby Memory Gardens Calera with Elder Mack Harris Officiating. His loving survivors are: devoted wife; Iris Smith Maddox, children; Edwin Maddox, Derrick (Carla) Gilmore, Cedric Keller, JhaMari Nevitt, Tia (Ray) Edwards, Kim Keller and Tamika Maddox his siblings; Reverend Willie (Rosie) Lee, Leroy Maddox, Doris Cunningham, Dorothy (Clarence) Harris and Martha (Bill) Brantley, thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in repose on Thursday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Westside Funeral Home Calera Directing.
