He was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County and faithful member of Woodward Chapel A.M.E. Church Paul's Hill (3205 Avenue D Bessemer 35020) and retired from Birmingham Tank Company after many years of service. Service of memory will be Saturday (July 13th) at 11:00 AM at his beloved Woodward Chapel A.M.E. Pastor Carol Perrier Officiating and Pastor Steve R. Caver Eulogist with interment in Highland Memorial Gardens. His loving survivors are: children; Robert Turner and Sharon T. Danzy, brother and sister; Leo Turner, Sr. and Beulah Turner, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in repose on Friday from noon until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Westside Funeral Home Fairfield Directing.
