Adriane Nicole Sheffield was born on September 19, 1974 in Birmingham, Alabama to Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Lee and Geraldine Hart Sheffield the eldest of their two children. Adriane loved her Heavenly Father and was a faithful servant of God sharing her love of Christ and fulfilling her purpose through her God given talents and gifts as a life-long learner and teacher. She was a 1992 graduate of Shades Valley Resource Learning Center, and continued her education at Vanderbilt University where she obtained her Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees. In 2017 she earned her Ph.D in Education from the University of Alabama, and she began her current tenure at Coastal Carolina University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Foundations, Curriculum, and Instruction within the Spadoni College of Education. Funeral Service will be Saturday at 12:00 PM Westside Funeral Chapel Fairfield with Minister Debra Blaylock officiating and Minister Karen Malone eulogist with interment in Dynasty Gardens Memorial Park. Her loving survivors are: devoted brother' Tavares Sheffield, a fiercely devoted nephew; Jaylon Sheffield, a very close-knit family of cousins, life-long friend; Dr. William Carney, many colleagues, students, and friends. Her remains will lie in repose on Friday from 1:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Westside Funeral Home Fairfield Directing.
