Deacon Milton Montgomery was born on October 12, 1934 in Birmingham, Alabama to the parentage of Dewey and Lucy Mae Williams Montgomery. He was educated in the Birmingham Public School System and continued his education by obtaining an Associate Degree in Horticulture. He was employed at American Cast Iron Pipe Company (ACIPCO) for over 30 years. He was a faithful member of South Elyton Baptist Church where he served in the Deacon Ministry, Usher and Sunday School. Funeral Service will be Saturday (Jan 7th) 12:00 PM at his beloved South Elyton Baptist Church (!00 - 1st Street South 35205) with Pastor Reginald Brown officiating and interment in Zion Memorial Gardens. His loving survivors are: devoted children; Brodrick Montgomery, Jacques Montgomery, Donna Jones and LaTesha Montgomery, his siblings; Dietreal Lee Montgomery, Darryl Montgomery and Carolyn Montgomery, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in repose on Friday (Jan 6th) from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Westside Funeral Home Fairfield Directing.
