Gerard Jones I was born on October 30, 1946 to the late Charlie Jones and the late Mary Brooks Jones. He was educated in the Fairfield City School System and graduated from Fairfield Industrial High School. He attended Tennessee State University, was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam era, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, a mason, a member of the American Legion, and he was also a former Alabama State Trooper and security officer. His loving survivors are: devoted wife of 31 years, Minister Rosetta Tigner Jones; devoted children, Gerard Jones II, Adrian Rashad Kimbrough, and Candice (Torran) Edwards; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, aunts, an uncle, sister-in-laws, a brother-in-law, other relatives and friends.
