Darien Deon "Dee" Haslip

Darien Haslip, "Dee", was born on March 29, 1994, son of Dwight Deon Haslip, Jr. and Nakeya Brewster Smith in Birmingham, Alabama.

Darien graduated from Maranathan Academy in 2011.  He enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.  He was generous, kind, loving and a person of fashion and a car enthusiast.  Darien is lovingly remembered for this beautiful smile.  He absolutely adored his son Destin and was fascinated by every milestone that Destin reached.

Darien Haslip fell asleep in death on Sunday, April 22, 2018.  He is survived by his son, Destin Josiah Haslip; his mother, Nakeya Smith; his father, Dwight Haslip, Jr. his brothers, Caleb James Smith and Dwight Haslip, III; his sisters, Damaiya Haslip and Melissa Smith; his grandparents, James and Belinda Brewster and Shirley Haslip; his special friend, Elizabeth Grant; and a host of aunts, uncles cousins and friends.

Service of memory will be Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Curie-Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Hoover, Alabama.  Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 until 5:30 PM at Westside Funeral Home Fairfield. There will be no visitation at the gravesite.
