Kenneth Hampton Threadgill was born on November 27, 1950 to the late Obadiah and Theresa Threadgill in Cuba, Alabama. He graduated from Sumter County Training School in 1968. After graduation he attended Tuskegee Institute. While in Tuskegee, Mr. Threadgill was drafted to the United States Army. He served two years and returned to Tuskegee. He would go on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a Master’s in Special Education. During his tenure as coach at Livingston High School he would win over 400 games, take 7 trips to the final four, be named 4A Coach of the Year twice and win a State Championship. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024, 11:00 AM, Westside Funeral Chapel Fairfield with interment in Alabama National Cemetery Montevallo. His loving survivors are: devoted wife of forty-five years, Greta; children, N’kia, Kounte (Amber), Kian, and Kenneth II (Marki); eleven grandchildren; siblings, Paula Threadgill, Gloria (Michael) Lee and Reginald (Michelle) Threadgill; other relatives and friends. Coach Threadgill will lie in repose on Wednesday (March 13th) from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Funeral Home.. Westside Funeral Home Fairfield Directing.
