Christine Bell Jackson was born on February 14, 1940 in Demopolis, Alabama to the union of George and Edna Lee Lomax Bell. At an early age, Christine family relocated to Birmingham, Alabama where she joined the East End Baptist Church where she served faithfully for over 30 years, until her family moved to the West End Community where she began her membership with Greater Shiloh Baptist Church. She was educated in the Birmingham Public School System graduating from historic Ullman High School and continuing her education at Miles College. She was a former employee of UAB Medical Center. Funeral Service will be Saturday (24th) 1:00 PM at her beloved Greater Shiloh Baptist Church, Pastor Michael Wesley will officiate with interment in Elmwood Cemetery. Her loving survivors are: devoted husband; James Jackson, sons; Wayne (Charlotte) Prince, Sr. and Michael (Dorlinda) Prince, step-daughters; Sharon Carpenter, Rosland (Walter) Rogers, Yvette Jackson and Felicia Jackson, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends, a very special friend Jacquelyn "Jackie" Brown. Her remains will lie in repose on Friday from 1:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Westside Funeral Home Fairfield Directing.
