Betty Jean (McCary) Bell - Powell

Betty Jean McCary Bell Powell was born on December 20, 1954 in Jemison, Alabama to the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Ethrean Simon McCary, Sr.   She was educated in the Chilton County Public School System, and was a dedicated employee of Simco Corporation Columbiana, Alabama for many years.  She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Jemison, Alabama and later joined the New Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church Calera, Alabama.  Funeral Service will be Saturday  (25th) 12:00 PM at her beloved New Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church Calera with Pastor Michael Jones officiating with interment in Shelby Memory Gardens Calera.  Her loving survivors are: devoted husband; Donnie Powell, her children; Sharon Brown  Adair, LaTasha Caldwell, Wendy (Jamey) Davis and Nicholas (Jennifer) Thomas, her sisters; Estella McCary, Bonnie (Roman) Nix, JoAnn Daniel, Jettie Pearl McCary, Cora (Donald) Nix, Carolyn McCary, and Emma (Andre) Howard, four grandchildren, step children, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Her remains will lie in repose on Friday (24th) from 1:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.  Westside Funeral Home Calera Directing.
