She was born in Selma, Alabama to the proud parentage of Julius and Irilla Hartley Smith, and with her family they relocated to Birmingham at an early age where she received her formal education at A. H. Parker High School. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family. She worked many jobs during her lifetime, but her greatest joy came from owning her own clothing Boutique. Graveside Service will be Wednesday (April 15th) at 12 noon at Oakland Cemetery with Pastor Harry Turner officiating. Her loving survivors are: devoted children; Ednalene Wilkerson, Rosetta (Gerard) Jones, Savannah (James) Green, Dorothy (Lee) Anderson, Gennetter Smith, and Jacquelyn (Michael) Hall, her sisters; Carrie (Elijah) Mack and Daisy (Larry) Chapman, sister-In-Law; Annie Ruth Hooper, thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in repose on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Westside Funeral Home Fairfield Directing.
