Annie Jo (McGinnis) Jemison

Annie Jo was the youngest of seven children born to Will and Meder Kidd McGinnis in Harpersville, Alabama on March 9, 1926.  She was a graduate of Shelby County Training School and Lawson State Community College.  She was a member of Scotts Grove Baptist Church Harpersville, Alabama and after moving to Birmingham, she became a member of Peace Missionary Baptist Church Pratt City where she served as Sunday School Teacher and sang in the choir.  Funeral Service will be Saturday 12:00 PM Westside Funeral Chapel Fairfield with Pastor William J. Posey officiating and interment in Patterson Forest Grove Cemetery.  Her loving survivors are: devoted children; Terrance Kelley, Sandra Williams, Elder Melvin Kelley, Shreada Kelley and Cynthia Kelley, eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Her remains will lie in repose on Friday from 1:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.  Westside Funeral Home Fairfield Directing.
