Age 54 of Calera made his transition on Friday ( Nov.18,2016). He was lifelong resident of Shelby County and member of New Mount Moriah Baptist Church Calera. Service of memory will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the church, Pastor Michael Jones will officiate, with interment in Shelby Memory Gardens. His Loving Survivors are: Devoted Wife; Aretha Hall Dowdell, Five Children; Kevin Bivins, Fanando James, DeMarcus Dowdell, Shanavia Dowdell and Tamiria Woods, Parents; Walter and Callie Dowdell, Four Siblings; Eugene Nabors, Keith (Deatrice) Dowdell, Kathy Seay and Rhonda (Roderick) White and Four Grandchildren. His remains will lie in repose on Friday at the funeral home from 1:00 until 6:00 P.M. Westside Funeral Home Calera Directing.
