Alexander "Al" Tillie was born on July 9, 1955 to Mr. and Mrs. Olden and Hester Brown Tillie in Bessemer, Alabama. He was a 1974 graduate of Brighton High School, and enlisted in the United States Army in 1975. Upon discharge from the Army, Al began working at the Anniston Army Depot until his retirement. Funeral Service will be Friday (21st) 11:00 AM Westside Funeral Chapel Fairfield Pastor Bruce Henderson, Sr. officiating with interment in Alabama National Cemetery. His loving survivors are: devoted children; Sonya (Damien Earl) Bennett, Alexander Lewis, Walter "Speedy" (Dominique) Lewis, Quenten (Beth) Tillie and Brandon (Ashley) Tillie, brothers and sisters; Jerry Tillie, Charles (Anne) Tillie, Joyce Tillie Johnson, Margaret Tillie, Vanessa (Artimis) Jones, Patricia (Nathan) Hall, Shelia Tillie Nixon and Shirley (Julius) Russell, eleven grandchildren, special friend; Mona Kornegay, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in repose on Thursday (20th) from 1:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Westside Funeral Home Fairfield Directing.
